Why this blog?

Every since I can remember I have been an extremely busy girl. When I was younger I was always involved with a minimum of two sports plus I pushed myself to always do well in school. Now as an adult I have been a full-time college student (with a bit of a commute) and a part-time retail employee. I like to be active with constant busy-ness, but this next year is going to be completely different for me. Don’t get me wrong I know I am going to be very busy with a new little girl in the family but it will be a different type of busy. So to avoid cabin fever I decided to start this blog as a way to share my journey, connect with others, and give me an outlet to express myself even when I’m stuck indoors during the cold winter months.

I’ll be honest right off the bat, I have always wanted to be a mom, but I had always planned to be a working mom. I have been wanting to be a teacher for as long as I can remember so giving up on that dream was just never an option. I wanted to balance both and I know it will be hard the day it happens, however the idea of being a stay at home mom for the next 9 months or so scares me even more. I am so thankful that I am lucky enough to get these first months with her all to myself, and I am excited to spend this time with her. There is a side of me though that is scared of losing me so this site is my attempt at keeping a little it of myself while becoming a mom.

I hope you all enjoy the stories I share and I will most definitely being sharing more than just “mommy-stuff” this blog will have everything from my personal style, to recipes, to mommy stories and lots in between. This will be a reflection of me, so I hope to include all aspects of myself with honesty. I would love suggestions on things you want to talk about so shoot me an email or write a comment on this page or any of the others!!

Love Always,
