I was lucky enough to be able to have two showers during this pregnancy. I had one down in my hometown in North County San Diego back in August (when it was super easy to travel plus I started school in September). Then to my surprise a close friend threw me a surprise shower in the beginning of November. I am so blessed to be surrounded with so much love, and this little girl is already so spoiled!!
The theme of the shower matched her nursery with elephants!! (More on her nursery theme and decor in a post to come). Needless to say with a little girl we had a lot of pink!!
We played some fun shower games including the one where everyone cut a piece of yarn that they think is big enough to go around my belly. I was shocked when my own mother was the furthest off!!! Her string was almost twice as big as my belly! (I still love her though). One of the great “games” they planned was the diaper raffle. Everyone who brought diapers was entered into a raffle (a bottle of wine was at stake people!) so needless to say we were pretty well stocked by the end!! I recommend anyone having a shower ask their host or hostess to do this it is such a great help to get you started.
I included a few of my favorite gifts but one of the sweetest was a jar filled with blank pieces of paper with a note included to write down all of the happy, funny memories we have Charlotte along the way so that way when we are having a tough day with her we can read them to bring a smile. Seriously how amazing is that!! I’m hoping that I will remember to write down some memories because I’m sure being reminded during those late nights why being a mom is so amazing will be a huge help.
Now to my dress! I told you this site would include my personal style and let me tell you how much I loved my dress!! First off it is nursing friendly, stretchy, can be worn during pregnancy and postpartum, and best of all it is so comfortable! What else could you ask for!? Oh I know its adorable and let me tell you I had such a hard time deciding on a print because there are so many!! If you haven’t checked out Pink Blush or their maternity brand then you are seriously missing out! (I am not sponsored or otherwise affiliated with this boutique. I just genuinely loved my dress and love their products).
To wrap up I loved my shower and I loved getting all my girls to celebrate my sweet little one. Happy Showers to all expecting moms!! I would love to hear about your shower so share some memories in the comments!!
